When I was first contacted by Sip & Script to join as an instructor, I will admit that I was a little skeptical. I had just relaunched my business, and while I knew that I had wanted to do something with this talent of mine for a while, I just wasn’t sure what. I didn’t even think I had posted enough content under my rebranded social media to garner the attention I was getting from them, even if it was small attention. I had to sit with the offer for a while and marinate on what this might look like for me.
As per my usual, I freaked out a little bit until my amazing husband dragged me back down to earth and reminded me that this is what I wanted. That I’m notorious for selling myself short. I will point out one million reasons why I shouldn’t, all while completely ignoring every reason I should. I’m capable and I should seize the opportunity. So, I accepted the position and became a Sip & Script instructor in the Northern Colorado region of our state. This gives me license to teach anywhere in the US (provided I’m not stepping on anyone’s territorial toes in doing so - Lake Havasu, I see you!).
I’ve only been teaching for a few months now, but man has that been the most fulfilling thing. I had that realization yesterday while I was standing over a group of ten women who wanted to learn my craft, and spent some of their money and more importantly, their time with me during the afternoon. They were there because they appreciate this art form as much as I do. They wanted to roll the dice and try something new, and expand their horizon and in those 90 minutes, I was not only incredibly proud of them for trying, but so, so excited for what they were learning! I’ve had the honor of teaching a couple of friends who purchased tickets along the way, too. You guys have my heart!
I’m grateful to be a part of all of their journeys, and to have them as part of mine. The venues have been nothing short of amazing, too! It’s so cool to see these little mom & pop shops that I’ve always advocated for. I love bringing new business to them all. I’m so excited for what this looks adventure looks like moving forward.
If you’d like to join me at a Sip & Script x LetterWORX class and you’re in the Northern Colorado region, keep an eye on the “classes” tab at the top of the page for new dates being added to my calendar regularly!
Have a great day, friends!
